Sirumalai is a popular hill station neat Dindigul in Tamil Nadu.  To reach Sirumalai, one has to travel through 18 hair-pin bend roads before reaching here from Dindigul which lies 25km away. Sirumalai is a picturesque village with a pleasant cool weather, lush green land and occasional snowfall. This place is slowly developing into a popular tourist destination. There are only a few resorts here. Years ago, horses were a common sight at Sirumalai. Though surrounded by forest, not many wild animals can be found here. The only wild animal seen occasionally here is the bison. There are two tourist spots on the way here through the mountain pass; a sunset point and a watch-tower to see the sky-view. The sunset point provides a spectacular view of sun setting in the west. The scenic beauty of the forest as seen from here provides a feast for the eye. One can also enjoy the marvellous sight of the zig zag roads standing at the watch tower.
