There are two ways by which you can go to the North Pole.
By air Take a chartered flight to the nearest land station from Canada or Finland. Book a helicopter to reach the North Pole. But this option has not only many risks but also is a boring journey with not much enjoyment on the way One has to travel for a distance of 100km in the helicopter to reach there. Moreover, if the weather is adverse, one cannot land in North pole.  The traveller will have to walk on foot to the destination then. One can choose ice skiing for travelling here but only experienced people can do one may end with a broken leg. Ice skiing is only possible when the snow has hardened in the sea. But when during this season, the sunlight is almost nil and hence not easy to see properly.
By sea- This is the safest and the best way to reach the North Pole. At the same time, it is costlier compared to the air transport. The biggest advantage is that one can enjoy the wildlife if travelling by sea. There are two companies that conduct a ship tour to North Pole. The ship is owned by the Russian government and these two are only tour operators who charter this ship for the tour. The Russian government allows the tour only 5 times in a year. POSEIDON EXPEDITIONS, QUARK EXPEDITION are the two operators. The ship is completely controlled by Russian officials. This is also the world’s largest and strongest Ice - Breaker Ship. The tours are mostly conducted during June-July.
