Sirumalai is a hilly region in Tamil Nadu. It lies around 1600m above sea-level. Though the place is a part of Sirumalai Reserved forest, most of the land here are estates. The main plantation crops are cardamom and coffee. Some estates also have sandalwood plantations. Most of the locals here are farmers. The famous Hill Rock International School is situated here. Sirumalai has a pleasant climate with a cool misty weather in the day time. Sirumalai is an ideal spot for trekking and bird watching. There is also an artificial lake in which visitors can avail boat riding. Accommodation is available but only a handful. Other than one or two resorts, there is only a panchayat guest house and one or two home stay
