India has quality roads that can surpass many foreign roads. Unfortunately, none is in Kerala. The Pune-Bengaluru express is one of such finest roads in India. As you enter the Pune express highway from Mumbai, the views on both sides of the road is fascinating. Pune is a Maharashtrian city that can emulate Mumbai in growth. The sights on both sides of the road as you travel through the Pune highway are nothing similar to what you usually see in India. In fact, it doesn’t look like an Indian city. One can see skyscrapers and clean paths everywhere. This is a well-planned region which shows the new urban India. There are only educational institutes, residential areas and corporate offices in this area. The distance from Mumbai to Pune is 200km and the road passes through many tunnels. By the time, one reaches Kerala, he will have to pay almost a thousand rupees as toll fee. The distance to be covered is almost 1300km.  Since the roads are well built, the travellers have very less issues or complaints to make. Almost 90% of the journey is through the terrains of Maharashtra and Karnataka. This journey will bring forth the disparity in the culture and landscape of these two states. There are farmlands or industries everywhere on both sides of the road. The journey passes through some important towns like Kolhapur, Honnoor, Hubli, Balgaum, and Darwad before you reach Kerala.
