To reach this enchanting hill station, turn right from Nedumangadu to Chullimanur junction. From here turn towards the Vithura junction. At the Theviyadu Mukk turn right to the road going to Agastyakoodu. As you travel through this road, you will see a road on your left that hoes to the Golden Valley. Going up an exciting road with 22 hairpin bends, you will reach your destination.
There are a few more attractive spots to visit nearby like Meenmutty waterfalls, Kallaaru and Agastyakoodam. The journey to these places are more thrilling than Ponmudi. In fact, the landscape starts looking fascinating all around after Vithura town. You can see the Kallar which is the tributary of the majestic Vamanapuram river flowing calmly parallel to the road. The Golden Valley is the valley of Ponmudi. Here if you wish you can have a bath in the ice-cold water. If you are visiting with your family, you may even have a picnic here. But remember not to throw food waste or plastic anywhere here.
