Take a 40km drive through the Al kharj highway and turn towards the ‘Heet exit’ road and travel for another 5km to reach the entrance lot of Ain Heet. Al Heet is a small town on the outskirts of Riyadh. Untouched by human, there is a natural underground lake formed in the mountain ranges of Mount Al Juba. This stunning lake’s entrance looks like a human eye and this is how it got the name Ain Heet cave. Ain means eye in Arabic. The word heet cave has nothing to do with the word heat’ as we may think. In fact, this pool of mountain stream is a relief for the Saudis where the temperature is around 45°. One need to be an adventurous and a physically fit person to climb down the steep dangerous limestone path to reach the lake and then climb back.
