Elephant Valley, just as the name suggests, was a place frequented by elephants. That was how the place got the Elephant Valley. But nowadays there no elephants to be seen here, says the villagers. This lonely yet beautiful place is untouched by tourism and hence remains calm and surreal. This picturesque village lies on the way to Kodaikanal near the Berijam forest. Special permission from the Forest department is a must to enter this area. The visitors have to travel for almost 5km through the small road after taking a turn from the main road. The road is in a bad condition and so the visitors will have to walk for a long distance. Elephant valley is a tiny hamlet in Tamil Nadu with very few houses, shops. and one or two resorts. It lies close to the forest and has a beautiful waterfall next to it.
