Janakikadu is an ecotourism project in Kerala. Situated near Perambra, this beautiful place is slowly getting destroyed due to the neglect of the concerned authority. On the way to Janakikadu, you will find a narrow iron bridge. Only small vehicles can pass through it. The ticket counter is opened till 5 in the evening. Though entrance is restricted and you have to get a permit from the forest department, one can see many vehicles passing through the forest road. There is a beautiful river that flows through the forest and reaches Peruvannamuzhi. Nature lovers will find this place enjoyable due to the scenic beauty of the forest and the lovely river that is flowing here. Janakikadu is a wonderful place for a one-day trip. One can spend a quiet evening and go back home refreshed. This region is included in the ecotourism project of Kozhikode district.
