Paris, the capital city of France has many nick-names including ‘City of Light’, ‘City of Art’ and ‘City of Love’. You can call this beautiful city the way you see it. The first two things that come to your mind when you hear the word Paris is the pride of French people, the elegant Eiffel Tower situated on the banks of River Seine and the Louvre Museum which has many paintings including Mona Lisa, the world-famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. Every night, the Eiffel Tower looks stunning when it puts on a series of light shows that makes it sparkles. Though it looks like an ordinary iron structure during day time, the tower changes into a spectacular golden lighting Tower due to the illuminations at night. This marvelous tower which has been enthralling its viewers for more than a century, was built during 1887-1889. It was given the name of the engineer who constructed it, Gustave Eiffel. He had to face many criticisms from the French people, politicians, artists and writers. Finally, it was built with the help of around 150 workers using seven thousand tons of iron working religiously for more than 2½ years. Today it is one of the most visited tourist destinations of the world.  Eiffel Tower will remain an engineering marvel for years to come.
