Kodikuthimala is a picturesque hill station in Malappuram. This beautiful place lies 522m above sea-level. To reach Kodikuthimala, take a ride through Perinthalmanna road to Mannarkkadu. After a 10km ride you will reach a place known as Amminikkadu. There check for the board on which Kodikuthimala is written. Take a left turn from here and travel for another 4.8km to reach your destination. It is tarred road that goes uphill. Two-wheelers and four-wheelers can ride the road. There is no entry fee for the spot. Snacks and water is available in the nearby shops. A 40-minute walk will take you on top of the hill. There is a rock pavement till the top (some areas are concreted too). Other than this road there is also a path through the 7 feet high grass formed by the people trying to find an easy way to reach at the top. The journey uphill through this path during the daylight is an amazing experience. On the summit of the hill, there is a partially constructed watch tower. One will be astounded by the sheer beauty of the place around as seen from here. The sunset viewed from atop of the hill is absolutely stunning. In case you are coming down the hill after sunset, it is safer to walk through the rock pavement
