Enthayar is a beautiful village surrounded by many hills like Vadakkemala, Thekkemala, Moopanmala, Urumbikkara mala and Muthukora mala.  It is the conflux of Manimalayar and Pullakayar. Enthayar is 12km away from Mundakayam in Idukki district. There are three daily bus services from Ernakulam too. Enthayar might look like a typical village, simple and quiet with no tourist activities. But once you reach the place, you will realise that it is a paragon of visual treat.
The Pullakayar with its fresh water gently flowing over the pebbles, the marvellous hills, the natural stream which originates in the Urumbikkara hill, the three stunning waterfalls which fall from the steep rocks all make Enthayar a mesmerising place to spend a weekend. There are amazing off-roads from Vembala to Urumikkara, Plapalli to Vagamon via Valiantha and Ilangod top to Moopanmala. Trekking trails are long and awesome taking you to different places. The most important trekking adventures will take you to Kolahalamedu-Kurisumala in Vagamon from Ilangod via Valiantha and Plapalli to Muthukora hills. Those who are more adventurous can opt for trekking from Moopanmala to Karintharuvi by climbing the steep rocky hills towards the Uppukulam reservoir region. Enthayar and its surrounding places are a tourist’s paradise.
