Snow Storm Park is a new snow park constructed next to the popular water theme park, Silver Storm Water Park in Kerala. The entry fee is Rs.400 for a 45 minutes’ duration at the park. The snow park is open every day of the week. Shoes and gloves of your size will be provided free to enter the park. Those who have not worn socks, will have to pay an extra Rs.40 to buy them. Entry to the park is allowed every 45 minutes. It is better not to take your camera inside and even if you do, take care to keep it safe from snowflakes. Since there will be snowfall and DJ, there is a high chance that you get covered with snow along with your camera. Do not take infants or toddlers younger than 3 years with you while going inside the park. Even older kids will find it difficult to stay for more than 15 minutes as it is freezing cold inside. Although each session is 45 minutes’ duration, the visitors will find it so cold that they might decide to step out after 30 minutes. It is extremely cold and even wearing boots will not help your legs from freezing in the snow. This is because snowflakes keep entering your shoes during the different activities in spite of wearing boots. In case you are coming from a distant place, it is better to plan this as a part of package tour which includes Valparai or Athirapilli waterfalls. This park is just for an experience in the snow or to click a few photographs with a snow-clad background. There are not many activities inside this park. But compared to the similar one in Bangalore, I must say this one is a better experience.
