The beautiful sun set is the most attractive sight at the Munda Pahar Beach in Andaman Islands. This place lies next to ‘Chidiya Tapu’ Beach and lies 18km away from Port Blair. Like almost all other beaches here, Chidiya Tapu beach also has a stunning beauty. Munda Pahar beach is situated just 2km away from Chidiya Tapu. The roads are narrow passing through the country side and provides a novel experience to the travellers. There is a check-post next to the beach. If you wish to go trekking on the nearby hill, you need to furnish your details including the number of the vehicle you came in at this check-post. The visitor can go trekking alone without the help of any guide. The journey from the beach to the Munda Pahar trek point atop the hill takes a 4km trekking through the evergreen forest to the beautiful light house. From here on, the trekking gets more adventures with narrow paths and steep cliffs on both sides of the path with lashing waves deep down below. Once you reach at the trek point, the Andaman coastline ends abruptly. This point is not a popular tourist destination yet and this makes the place calm and serene. Visitors can enjoy themselves far from the madding crowd watching a mesmerizing sun-set listening to the music of waves crashing on the rocks.
