Seetharkundu is a picturesque place that lies in the Nelliyampathy forest area in Palakkad district. The main attraction here is the waterfalls that falls from a height of about 100 feet. When seen from a distance, the hills present a fascinating sight with mist moving away from the hills just like the steam from a tea cup. The fluffy clouds at times takes less than a minute to completely envelope the Nelliyampathy- Seetharkundu hills. When the strong winds, foggy weather and cloudy sky covers the sun, we can hear the beautiful hornbills sing sweetly, making the birds fly away and Peacocks dance in the ravine. The viewpoint at Seetharkundu presents a mesmerising sight of the Chulliyar and Meenkara dams and the beautiful Kollangod town far away. There are no safety precautions here. So, the visitors will have to take responsibility for themselves.
