Himavad Gopalaswami is a hill situated in the Bandipur National Park in Karnataka. To reach here from Nilambur, one has to ride through the Nadukani Churam passing through Bandipur and Muthumala. The journey is interesting since you can enjoy watching animals and flower fields as you move on. Turn towards Bandipur road before you reach Gundalpetta. The long stretch of road, fields and flower fields will soon take you to the check post. Vehicles are not allowed after this point except KSRTC buses.
As you climb up the churam, the scenery is intoxicating to say the least. Himavad Gopalaswamy Hills lie 1500- 2000 feet above sea-level. The Gopalaswamy temple atop seems to touch the cloud. The region is covered with dense fog and so it’s very cold here. The cool weather, the magnificent hills were elephants and deer graze and the lovely fog all around will tempt you to visit the place once again. While returning you can visit Muthumala and Bandipur enjoying the sight of animals
