Notre-Dame Cathedral is a medieval church and a historical monument in Paris. Built in the French-Gothic style, this magnificent building is situated in a tiny island in the Seine River. This beautiful church lies in an area of 5500 square-meters. The main attractions that flock the people to this church is the spectacular Altar and the sight of Paris from the top of the church. It has spiral stairs with 387 narrow steps to reach the top of the Cathedral from where you get a stunning view of Paris. Those who are physically unfit, should not try to climb these stairs. Other than visiting the Cathedral, one must find time for a boat cruise in River Seine. Since most of the historical monuments in Paris lie on the banks of Seine, this boat ride will give you an exciting view of all these monuments. The bridges built across the river have beautiful statues which showcase the pride and artistic skills of the French people
